Public speaking events where I talk about raising neurodivergent kids

Since releasing Neuroshambles, I have been invited to talk at numerous conferences, special needs parenting events and discussion panels.

As a former stand-up comedian and someone who spends a lot of time discussing neurodiversity, I love being in front of an audience and sharing my lived experience of parenting neurodivergent kids in a humorous, engaging and accessible way – whether that’s online or at a live event.

If you'd like to book me for your conference, SEND session or online event, please contact me. I'm excited to hear how I can work with you to enthusiastically advocate for parents and our autistic, ADHD and PDA kids.

Rewriting The Rulebook For Our Neurodivergent Kids

In this session, Mark talks about his own journey as a parent of three children with contrasting needs and shares how he has finally come to terms with the joy of ripping up the rulebook that society expects you to follow in favour of writing one to suit the unique needs of your own family.

How To Deal With Judgement: A Survival Guide

If you're parenting a neurodivergent child, unsolicited opinions come with the territory. This talk breaks down the most common judgements parents face, unpicks where they come from, and gives you some practical, calm responses to have in your back pocket.

How Can Dads Show Up Better For Our Neurodivergent Kids?

Most dads arrive late to the neurodivergent parenting journey. This talk is about what happens when you finally catch up - and how to make sure you do. Drawing on his own early years as a self-described shouty dad, Mark looks at why fathers often struggle to recognise and accommodate neurodivergence, how traditional ideas about authority can make things significantly worse, and what it actually takes to turn it around.
